Family Photography Shoot – Cambridgeshire

Something a little different on the blog. These three lovely people are family members and as you can see the little one is a newbie and is gorgeous 🙂 We photographed Jordan and Jo when Jo was eight months pregnant, leaving it a little late. I think seven months is about right but Jo looked about the same at seven as she did at eight so it wasn’t a problem for the shoot as she was glowing. We had decided to have a lovely sunny hazy maternity shoot but it was quite dull. Luckily we found a field of buttercups and it cheered the picture up. We also as usual with baby/maternity shoots wanted to photograph the nursery as well. They didn’t want to know the sex of the baby and the room was left basic with neutral colours. They were convinced they were having a boy along with the whole family and it was a huge surprise when little Florence was born. For the baby shoot we kept the pictures natural and unposed like we mainly do with weddings. We did however do a little studio style shoot in a nut which although a little bit cheesy was actually quite cute. I didn’t want to use furs and used a ditsy print fabric instead. They proved very popular for “thank you” cards. We photographed the nursery for a second time and it was suddenly filled with presents from friends and family.and an introduction of pink. The clothes rail most certainly had livened up with all the little dresses. Can’t wait to do some more shots when she is sitting up.
