Howell Photography – Norfolk Wedding – Adam & Louise

This was another new venue for us in Norfolk, actually two venues. Adam and Louise hired the Norfolk Courtyard for the girls getting ready and the celebrations and the actual marriage was forty minutes away at Wolterton Hall. Both are Wedding venues in their own right. Wolterton Hall is more formal with a lake and grand chandeliers and fireplaces. It was perfectly suited for the traditional uniforms and a lovely place to tie the knot. The couple added their own touches on the mantel piece with lots of simple country flowers in glass vases which is all that was required. Speaking of country flowers Louise chose the most stunning styling for her very loosely tied bouquet which I absolutely fell in love with. I was fascinated watching and photographing the men outside preparing Adam’s uniform making sure all was absolutely perfect in true military style. The ceremony was very romantic as was everything about this wedding from the dress to the styling and most of all the way they looked at one another. Norfolk Courtyard was equally special, very romantic with ducks and chickens roaming around the pretty shepherds huts. In the morning when we photographed the details we were invited to use the antiques from the barn which made gorgeous props. The setting at Norfolk Courtyard is very romantic once again but in a more relaxed way. The site has been used by models for shoots in well known magazines and I can see why as there were plenty of places to photograph the couple. All in all they had both rustic and formal and it all sat together perfectly. The families stayed over in the cottages at the courtyard and when it is not being used for weddings you can stay there as it is also a stunning Bed and Breakfast. You can also buy lovely antiques and vintage finds in the barn. Not good Doug found out as I came home with the little suitcase in the previous blog as well as other vintage pieces. He couldn’t believe I could even manage shopping at a wedding ha ha. Louise and Adam had found their own vintage pieces for this wedding. The styling was amazing and fitted the venue perfectly. I loved the fact that they had home made cakes for desert and I also loved photographing the children running around enjoying themselves and at one point one turning into a mini photographer and his little brother turning into a barman. Future occupations ?  To top everything off we were able to meet up again with Jim and Rachael whose wedding we photographed a couple of years back, see blog post here. Adam was a guest at their wedding and liked the photography we did for them. Congratulations to Jim and Rachael on the arrival of the very gorgeous little Austin who has very recently arrived would you believe on his due date !

Huge congratulations Adam and Louise. Very best wishes for the future.

Karen and Doug xx
