August seems like such a long time ago looking out at the leaves today I can hardly believe it was only a few weeks back. Hermione and Joe had fabulous weather for their wedding day from start to finish. Not even a light shower. We began the day heading down to Suffolk (my childhood home) and went straight to Hermione’s parents house where the girls had gathered for the getting ready. I loved the fact that the bridesmaids did each others hair and was extremely intrigued by the contraption they used for making natural boho curls. You suck it in at one end, the heat curls the hair and it unwinds curled. It did look amazing on all of them and very natural. Hermione went for an up do which suited her styling perfectly. The reception was held in a marquee on Joe’s uncles farm and it was styled beautifully. The couple wanted the wedding to feel relaxed and their chosen florist Denise Johnson really did understand what they wanted. Nothing was too fussy and the colours suited the natural feel of the farm with the soft apple green doors and beautiful golden hay bales. I will be spotlighting some florists, bands and make up artists in the coming weeks with links to their details and Denise will be one of them. She also created the floral crowns for the bridesmaids. Hermione’s brother constructed a cork board covered in childhood photos and everyone really did enjoy stopping to have a giggle. The father of the bride speech of the year had to go to Hermione’s Dad. It was hilarious and delivered like a professional comedian. Talk about dryness and timing, we couldn’t stop laughing. It was the best Dads speech we had ever heard. It was such a lovely relaxed day just as the couple had wished for and the evening party was equally brilliant and in immediate full swing straight away.
