Chippenham Park Wedding – Catherine & Ross – Howell Photography

We met Catherine and Ross for the first time in 2014 to discuss their Wedding Photography and ended up chatting for two hours. Catherine loves sewing and wildlife and works within the conservation sector recording endangered species. We soon got talking about the rabbits, birds and hares (my favourite animal) she uses on her cushions and bags etc. I explained that I use these within my hobby which is paper crafting. Before we left I had also converted Catherine into a paper crafter and she ended up using her new skills making wedding bits and pieces. I will be blogging some more about that later in the year. Doug likes to photograph wildlife and still supplies to an agency for books and magazines. Doug also likes to talk about all things computers and Ross is an IT guy so that is why we just chatted and chatted. We did get around to Wedding Photography and was very pleased to hear that the Wedding would be at Chippenham Park near Newmarket. We always try to make the images we create personal to each couple without losing a sense of our style and taste. This was an easy one for us as Chippenham Park had hares albeit in the form of statues (how I would love these in my garden) and little conservation pieces along with bees buzzing around the flowers. The couple wanted their wedding to reflect their different cultures so it was a mix of oriental touches with English country garden. They pulled this off brilliantly and also enlisted the help of an amazing florist called Christiane from Honeysuckle Bee who turned up earlier than us to decorate everywhere. The flowers included the most beautiful orchids and Catherine’s Bouquet was exquisite. When I looked across at the bridesmaids sitting there during the ceremony they looked like they were holding a garden. Christiane was trained by Jane Packer no less and although she traveled from Bath to supply the flowers she would do it again as long as her travel expenses were covered.

In the evening the guests were treated to ceilidh dancing lessons and it really did bring everyone together. They had a very good instructor and they picked it up in no time.

Congratulations guys. we wish you all the best xx
