Suffolk Wedding – Jim & Rachael – 18/06/11

We very much enjoyed Rachael and Jim’s wedding yesterday in the Suffolk countryside. The day was informal, happy, friendly and filled with love and warmth. They wanted the same from their photography so we decided to take as many shots as naturally as possible with very little posing. There were plenty of very pretty details. The flowers were Sweet peas and Delphiniums which were perfect for the relaxed country style theme. The dress made by Rachael’s mum was absolutely exquisite. Rachael’s veil was the same veil worn by her mum on her wedding day. Don’t get me started about the shoes. You know how much I adore pretty shoes and these ones were divine. The cake was a very quirky cheese cake and very delicious it was with the home made chutney later in the evening. Rachael’s bridesmaids tended to her hair and the flower arrangements were put together and tied with ribbon by family and friends just before the wedding took place. The weather was mad. It absolutely poured, hailed, thundered, you name it. At one point during the ceremony we actually thought the Marquee was going to lift up or come down. It didn’t dampen any ones spirits, in fact just the opposite as everyone howled with laughter. There were some moving readings followed by a gusto rendition of “ When I’m Sixty Four”. When Rachael and Jim came out of the Marquee the sun came out just for them and stayed out for the rest of the afternoon. The party was brilliant, so much fun with a great band “Capital Groove”. At the end of the evening after much dancing all of the guests made a circle around the bride and groom who were holding an umbrella, everyone then covered and wrapped them in streamers. We had never seen this before at a wedding and was a perfect ending to a perfect day.

Thank you to everyone for making us feel so very welcome.
