Wilobe Farm Barn Wedding – Jenni & Harvey

We really enjoyed Jenni and Harvey’s Cambridgeshire wedding. Wall to wall sunshine, a fab couple, beautiful touches, gorgeous friends and family and everyone had a smile on their face all day. Whats not to like. Even the horses on the farm were smiling. I couldn’t believe it when I raised my camera and the horse actually did smile at me. Jenni and the bridesmaids got ready at home and as usual I really enjoyed this time with the girls. Thank you to all the Bridesmaids for their enthusiasm and help. They got the guests together after the ceremony for a confetti line and it was the quickest and most efficient organisation I have ever seen at a wedding. Jenni and Harvey married in a traditional ceremony at the beautiful St Mary’s Church in Gamlingay. The reception was at Wilobe Farm Barn in a tiny little village in Cambridgeshire right on our doorstep called Pidley. The couple and their families had put so much effort into this wedding not only for it to look great, which it did, but they really thought about their friends and family. The couple had a surprise for their guests when they were seated for their meal which was that every table had a guest who unbeknown to them were allotted the title and task of “Chief of Beef”. This meant that whoevers name was called out from each table was given a chefs hat and apron and they got to carve the roast beef for their table. It really was fun. Harvey’s Mum made the cake and the bridesmaids dresses and Jenni’s Mum helped to set everything up the day before. Jenni broke with tradition and had navy tablecloths instead of white which suited the rustic theme well. I really loved the sewing machine with the bunting still attached which Jenni made. A particularly lovely touch was the bags with “One for the road” printed on. This was for the guests to have a snack and bottle of water on the way home. How thoughtful. In the evening there was another treat as Jenni had booked “Flood the Floor” I cannot recommend this band enough. Great fun and incredible vocalists.

I actually took the stills at this wedding and Doug concentrated on filming. He has almost made his first Wedding film. I have seen some of the footage he has put together and I am really proud at how well he has done. It takes a while to edit but we hope to have it on the blog next week.

Congratulations Jenni and Harvey, we look forward to showing you your film.
