When we initially met with Claire and Phil I remember remarking to Doug what a very lovely couple they were. Phil later went on to tell us during their Portrait shoot that when they left us after the client meet they had said to one another that they had found their photographers. It is great when there is that spark. When we arrived at Claire’s parents house on the morning of the wedding it was threatening rain but it held off until just before the ceremony and then the heavens opened. I know Claire was hoping to get married outside at South Farm but she didn’t let it bother her at all as she got ready with her close friends. True to form Claire helped her bridesmaids get ready before popping on her dress. How sweet is that ! Both her and Phil really didn’t stop smiling all day long. We have photographed many times at South Farm but this was the first inside ceremony for us in the old dairy. After they were married it was dry enough for some very enthusiastic confetti throwing. What was really fab was the appearance of the sun at the end of the day which allowed us to get some pretty shots in the meadow. The cake cutting was equally enthusiastic at the end of the day, I am not sure if Phil should really be let loose with a sword, when they cut the cake it did actually come out the other side.
