We met Ben and Emma just a few months before their wedding and said “yes please” straight away to capturing their day. We knew that the wedding was going to be a little more formal than the country fete style of wedding we usually capture but every so often a classic but stylish wedding comes along and I find myself excited about the day even though there might not be all the home made details, hay bales etc. I really loved the elegant soft blush colour scheme running through from the flowers to the cake which Emma made herself. Emma’s Mum had collected a lot of vintage lace and this was used in the Marquee. Emma decided to just have her Sister as bridesmaid again keeping the day simple. We loved spending the day with Emma and Ben as apart from them both being incredibly nice they were perfectly relaxed and easy going.  They smile all the time and are just instantly warm. It soon turned out that their friends and family were the same. They asked for a mix of relaxed images together with some classic shots. This was easy to achieve as the chapel at Peterhouse where they married is beautifully classic and looked stunning when candlelit. After the couple married they stayed at Peterhouse for some family shots and had bubbles instead of confetti. They went onto Barrington Hall for their reception with family and friends.  The staff at Barrington are great and they were as warm and friendly as the Wedding party. A good day was had by all !
