PLEASE DO GRAB A COFFEE AND HAVE A WANDER AROUND. I HAVE eighteen YEARS EXPERIENCE so be assured you are in good hands. I know GOOD PHOTOS ARE MOSTLY ABOUT GOOD LIGHT, connection AND FEELING RELAXED. I also KNOW IT CAN BE DAUNTING TO HAVE A PHOTO SHOOT BUT MY CLIENTS WILL TELL YOU THAT THEY FELT VERY AT EASE ON THEIR SHOOTS AND SO DID THEIR CHILDREN. IN FACT THEY COULDN'T BELIEVE HOW EASY IT ALL WAS. MANY CLIENTS COME BACK TIME AFTER TIME. YOU CAN READ MORE AS YOU GO THrOUGH THE SITE ABOUT MY PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE AND APPROACH. I GREW UP IN SUFFOLK AND MY FAMILY ARE ALL ARTISTS. I THOUGHT IT WAS NORMAL FOR HOUSES TO HAVE BRUSHES IN JAM JARS OF WATER AND PAINTINGS DRYING AROUND THE HOUSE. I STILL HAVE A HOUSE LIKE THAT AND LOVE TO PAINT AND GROW FLOWERS. my painting style is abstract. My biggest pleasure however is photography and of all the arts, I am so glad to have honed those particular skills.
EXPERIENCE
I HAVE BEEN A WORKING PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER SINCE 2009. I STARTED OUT PHOTOGRAPHING CHILDREN and trained for that with an amazing photographer called Annabel Williams. I just fell in love with her natural style. AFTER MORE ADVANCED TRAINING OF A YEARS BESPOKE COURSE IN THE LONDON AREA, I DECIDED TO CONCENTRATE ON WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY.WHICH VERY QUICKLY TOOK OFF. AFTER SHOOTING HUNDREDS OF WEDDINGS ALL OVER THE COUNTRY I HAVE NOW GONE FULL CIRCLE AND AM ONCE AGAIN LOVING PHOTOGRAPHING CHILDREN, FAMILIES AND BABIES. I AM VERY CALM AND EASY GOING WHICH IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT WITHIN THIS INDUSTRY ESPECIALLY WHEN DEALING WITH CHILDREN.

The value of your photos is something that will increase each year. We all buy or want stuff but that stuff won't mean a lot in twenty years time. As your children grow those fleeting moments captured forever will mean everything. Babies change within weeks. At first they almost look like sweet fragile little birds but pretty soon they are well fed little babies all chubby and smiling. We all love our children and know that they are the most valued before anything else in our life. They become your whole life. Nobody ever regrets paying for a professional photo shoot. I GENUINELY want you to have some really wonderful photos to love and pass down.

Why should I have a Portrait
shoot ?
Newborn photos are something that many parents like to have recorded professionally. You probably had a wedding photographer because it was a major milestone in your life, becoming a parent is equally so. It might be that a session in the first few weeks is all you want, alternatively, some couples want different first year stages. I am aware that everyone has a different budget and requirements. I also shoot christenings, birthdays and children and families as they grow.
what age is best for a baby shoot ?
Some couples want a shoot as soon as possible so that they can send out announcement cards which I can help with. One to three weeks old is a good age for newborns simply because they tend to be more sleepy and more settled. Alternatively, wait until the baby is able to hold their head up and smiling at about six weeks. Don't worry if your babies newborn skin has early milk spots, I will heal babies skin as part of the editing process ensuring that babies look natural but glowing. I do the same for sleep deprived parents.
Where do the shoots take place ?
Newborn shoots are carried out in your home. Don't be put off if you think your home is not good enough for a shoot. I can work around different situations and rooms. It is the light that is important and I know from experience just where to find it in every home. Shoots on average take about an hour and a half depending on how well your baby is settled. If you are in Cambridgeshire and you really don't want to have the shoot at home, I can hire a gorgeous hotel room for an hour or two at a very reasonable fee.
Will you pose my baby ?
My style is for very natural shots and therefore I won't need to put your baby into various unnatural poses. I may suggest where to put your baby down and at which angle or gently move the blanket if it is riding up higher or lower than I want for the shots. I may like to reveal a tiny toe or hand but I leave the cuddles to you so that I can keep shooting and capture those heartwarming shots. Some of the sweetest and most natural shots are when babies are in their parents arms.

Why should I have a Portrait
shoot ?
I believe family is one of the the most important things in the world. More than money, travel or belongings. There may not be many opportunities to get your family on a photograph all together as often one of the family will be behind a camera or phone and it's usually the same person. Having a professional portrait shoot will provide you with those fantastic memories and good quality professional images for you to pass down as heirlooms or make fab wall worthy art to place around the home. I will take both family shots and child alone shots. If there are siblings I will capture the unfolding dynamics between them as they play. These are not stuffy photos they are real memories of how you are as a family. That love and connection always shining through.
It will also foster a feeling of value and belonging for children of any age to see photos of themselves around the house. As they grow older they will realise you made those investments in professional photography for them.
Where do the shoots take place ?
For family shoots, I would advise you choose somewhere you like to go as a family. A woodland walk or beach, somewhere you feel totally relaxed. We can also carry out shoots in your home which we can combine with outside shots to get two different looks. If you have a young baby we can carry out the whole shoot in your home.
What gear do you use ?
I use the best quality Canon lenses and cameras. I use my 50mm lens for beautiful soft light and bokeh and all those in between shots and a 35mm for wider shots. I also use a macro and a zoom lens depending on what the shoot is. Although I know how to use flash well, I hardly ever use flash for any of my lifestyle shots unless I absolutely need to. I carry one with me at all shoots but it tends to stay in my kit bag.

mini model shoots
Great for a teen or mini teen Birthday gift. This one is all about the dressing up.
I have worked with many models of all ages over the years and for some teens it's a dream come true to have a model shoot by themselves (parents welcome) or with a small group of teen friends, maybe with their bestie. They can have a really good time dressing up, outfit changes and feeling like they are on a real photo shoot. Pamper them even more with The luxury of Professional hair and make up before the session. I will also spend time after the shoot PROFESSIONALLY editing the shots in an editorial style.
