Ashridge Wedding Photography – David & Vicky

Vicky and David were married at the beautiful Ashridge Estate in Hertfordshire which is a place they often visit for walks and relaxation. They have waited some time for this day having been together for thirteen years which is obviously not unlucky for these two. They also married on the thirteenth so I think we can guess that they are not superstitious. We arrived at their home nice and early in the morning giving us plenty of time to capture lots of detail shots, something we always try to do as we know our brides love them. Check out those Prada shoes 🙂 Vicky’s dress was by Jasmine Couture and the make up was by Helen Younger who is lovely and I would happily recommend. Chief bridesmaid Stephanie also had her make up done by Helen and both bride and bridesmaid looked perfectly radiant but at the same time very natural. Vicky had found out that it was a great idea to wear a new perfume on your wedding day and chose Miss Dior so that whenever she caught a waft of it, she would be reminded of her Wedding day. The flowers were really pretty and I will find out from Vicky who she chose as her florist and blog those details as I was really impressed. The marriage ceremony was in the Great Hall on the stairs which was a first for us. It was lovely to see these two finally exchange their vows.
The weather held off long enough for a quick portrait shoot and some group shots and a conker fight between the ushers, groom and best man. Not sure who won in the end but it was taken very seriously and did get quite competitive he he. I love the shot of the men all holding their wrists at the same time which was a candid shot although it almost looks staged. Ashridge has a reflective dance floor which lent itself nicely in the evening to some more of our creative shots.

Vicky and David we wish you the very best.
