The last wedding of the year and just before Christmas turned out to be both a fairytale and a day of having to make last minute changes. The wedding took place on Saturday the 18th December which was the day that London was hit by several inches of snow falling very quickly. Some guests cancelled but most made it through to see them get married. Rachel and Andy had organised a London bus to ferry their guests around but were disappointed to have it cancelled on the day itself. The Jurys Inn where the grooms family were staying did their best to organise alternative transport and in the end everyone got there on time. The bride had her hair done at the fabulous Easton regal hairdressers and she looked beautiful. I loved the style that they created which really suited her lovely red hair. Her make up was also done for her at the same place. She then bravely left to face the snow with a giant golf umbrella and just kept smiling even though she had to walk back in the snow to the nearbyZetter Hotel which is where she got ready. The positive side to all of this is that there was a lovely camaraderie between all the guests. The children were happy as they loved all the snow and London looked stunning for the Photo’s. The streets were all beautifully lit for Christmas and we were able to get some truly unique images. The reception was held at the Peasant on St John Street and once again all lit for Christmas gave us some stunning backgrounds. The reception was intimate, emotional and fun. The food here by the way is sublime and went down very well as everyone came inside out of the cold to enjoy.
As this is the last wedding of the year I have done a two parter for you. Enjoy below the first part and come back tomorrow for the beautiful reception photos which have a lovely vintage vibe.

These are gorgeous Karen, love the first shoe shot especially and the ones around London in the evening are fab! Great shots in what, I’m sure, was challenging light 🙂
