We were in the very beautiful Cotswold countryside for Ant and Courtney’s Cripps Barn wedding. The Cotswold’s are very special to Doug and I as we were married there ourselves. It is the first time we have photographed a wedding in that particular area and we knew the couple had to be very special if we were going to do any photography in a place that is so personal. When we met up with Ant and Courtney we were booked in for a 45 minute client meet, an hour and a half later we were still chatting and we couldn’t believe the time. It was an easy decision to make. One of the highlights for us as photographers, and there were many, was arriving to find the venue styled so beautifully. We loved the country vintage theme with the suitcases and Mr and Mrs sign and wow, the table plan inside the vintage suitcase with its printed interior and little vases at the bottom was genius. After a lovely meal and some very funny speeches the children running about in the gardens made for a quintessentially English scene and of course being that I adore children’s photography, I was there with my camera. Another touch that I absolutely loved was the washing line with the vintage knickers. Courtney’s friends took her off to Bristol for her Hen night where they visited an antique cake and tea shop that just also happened to have cocktails as well 🙂 Apparently it was like a mad hatters tea party. They then all made knickers but could have made bunting if they wished. Cocktails and sewing machines and a hen party. Apparently there were no accidents and the knickers were all sewn in straight lines from what I could see 🙂 The little page boy and flower girl were so cute just like little models. How annoying though when you are making your move and along comes a photographer to ruin your moment. Sorry Jake !
Courtney and Ant we wish you all the best for the future xx. Â Please feel free to leave them some comments and love at the bottom of the blog.
