Bring on the spring – Howell Photography – Garden

I am really looking forward to getting out in my garden again. I am a warm weather gardener and have one of those gardens which suddenly come to life as soon as the spring arrives. At the moment it looks like, well, muddy ! It astonishes me every year when it suddenly blossoms from nothing. I took these shots at Hidcote in Gloucestershire in the summer and was drooling over them whilst looking at said mud out of the window. When I shot them I was wanting to make them have a really arty dreamy look and made sure I had a really shallow depth of field just picking out a single stem here and there. Its amazing that a few packets of seed can produce all this loveliness.

Thought it would be nice to share ……………………………
