A few images from Olivia and Scott’s wedding at Lanwades Hall. The venue is actually an animal sanctuary which of course appealed to me. I loved the hotel The Packhorse Inn on the Suffolk/Cambridgeshire border for photography as the rooms were full of light and soft country colours. I love to include these backdrops to get a lovely light and fresh look to the images we create. Honestly, if you are a lover of purples, reds and blacks etc we are not the photographers for you. These are colours I like to avoid unless they are in pretty country flowers. I can’t stress enough how important it is to make sure you and your photographer love the same things and have similar taste. I love the simple colours in the car interiors on the shot above. It doesn’t distract and this simple image will be timeless and will frame perfectly for any room in the house. Olivia and Scott had some lovely touches and their guests had a blast. Her flowers were right up my street and were by Tollys Flowers in Newmarket. The seating plan was striking and very unique using humorous pictures of guests. Every last detail was thought through from the bunting to the raspberries in the bubbly in the morning. The Laser shooting (more on that soon) was a highlight for the guests. Olivia and Scott really enjoyed their day and apparently after we had left Livvie ended up crowd surfing. I so wished this had happened when we were still there, how I would have loved to have captured that. I did get really excited when a bus went past and slowed down right outside the church as Livvie came up the path. Normally I would have been annoyed because I don’t like to stop proceedings and had a few seconds to get my shot of Livvie and her Dad. On this occasion I noticed the slogan “Humans” with the eyes and the colours matching Dads shirt and tie and hoped the bus would stop in time and it did. An image that will never happen again so I was really pleased to capture it and make use of the bus.
